
UKMidlandscanner News.West midlands Switch to airwave West Midlands police are now nearly fully covered by airwave,at the time of writing Only Wolverhampton still using analogue radios. The new radios are sepura srp 2000 More Featuring gps. On speaking to a west midlands police officer although she said coverage and reception was better. The new radios were taking some getting used to and the constant beeping at the beginning and end of transmissions was most annoying. Also the fears of cancer and other health related problems was of great concern to herself and coleagues. Uniden BC246T Uniden has just released the Uniden BC246T scanner. From all accounts the "Close call" feature works very well. I am trying to get one of these units into the UK to try against my ever faithful Opto scout. Hopefully soon we will be able to review this unit on the review pages.
